One of the usual elements for the protection of the aturas are the anchor points, which can be installed, depending on their type, temporarily or permanently and which are responsible for facilitating the work of a person by being able to attach their fall arrest system to them, thus being able to carry out their work at height or in confined spaces. The EN795 class A anchor point / permanent eye bolt (ref. AT150), which is made of an aluminum alloy, measures 135 x 60 x 60 mm and complies with the EN975 Class A standard, allowing different working positions and being specially designed to be used by a single person. The eyebolt can be placed on a horizontal, vertical or inclined surface, and must be fixed to the structure using two screws or anchors.
Installation of the EN795 class A permanent anchor point (ref. AT150)
- Before proceeding with its installation, it must be stored in a clean and dry place, in conditions that do not allow for chemical or mechanical damage.
- The installation of the EN795 class A anchor point / permanent eye bolt (ref. AT150) must be carried out based on the principles of mechanical and construction joints, using metric M12 stainless steel screws, at least type A2 and resistance class 70, depending on the length of the screw and the thickness of the elements to be joined.
- The conditions of the environment in which the installation is carried out and their possible influence on the corrosion of the anchor point and the different connecting elements must be taken into account.
- The connection with the concrete floor must be made using chemical or mechanical anchors with a threaded plunger diameter M12, with a concrete floor with a compressive strength greater than 20 MPa.
