The popular Oreka helmet evolves by integrating the innovative Mips system (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System), a patented system that reduces the rotational forces caused by impacts. The low friction layer allows a multidirectional movement of 10 to 15 mm on certain oblique impacts to reduce the rotary force on the head.

The Oreka Mips helmet is versatile and durable, provides the necessary protection for height work.

MIPS Elévate: The protection helmet revolution

Mips elévate moves for the first time the Mips safety protecicon for state-of-the-art helmets to the classic protective helmet and other harness-based helmets. It has been designed to reduce the rotary force on the head as a result of certain oblique impacts. Just high security.

1. Traditional helmets are designed and tested for straight impacts, but most impacts occur at angles, which can cause a rotation movement in the head.

2. The rotation movement can cause brain injuries.

3. The low friction layer is designed to help reduce the rotation movement of the head in certain impact angles.

What is Mips®?

The Mips® system is based on the fixing of a low friction layer to the inner surface of the helmet.

How does it work?

When a helmet gets an angle impact, it can make the head spin suddenly and violently.

This is a common cause of concussions and brain injuries. IRUDEK helmets with integrated Mips® system are designed to provide movement inside the helmet and help to reduce, the rotation movement of the head on certain angular impacts, thus reducing the risk of this type of injury.
