Our cushion sheet tape 3Mtm 2552 is made with a soft and coated aluminum foil containment layer with a pressure-sensitive acrylic acrylic polymer adhesive. This unique construction provides the ability to control resonant vibrations in a variety of applications and a wide range of temperatures.

3MTM Adhesive tape cushioning 2552(PDF, 112 Kb) is an anti-vibration tape with reverse aluminum foil. It is designed to reduce noise transmitted by structure and fatigue in metal panels and compounds and support structures. With a viscoelastic acrylic polymer adhesive, this tape is easy to apply and attaches well to the metal. It can achieve effective damping with just 20% coverage of the surface.

This durable tape will resist moisture, climate, UV degradation and flames. It is a long-lasting tape designed to operate specifically in a wide variety of temperatures (-25 °F/32 °C to 175 °F/180 °C) with maximum damping of 32 °F/0 °C to 140 °F/ 60°C. The coated construction provides the ability to trip this product. The tape of buffering foil 3MTM 2552 meets the requirements of FAR 25.853(a) and can pass the ASTM E-162 and ASTM-E 662 standards in terms of flammability and smoke generation.
