The PET yarns, 15 gauge, have moisture control properties, keeping hands dry and comfortable. Index and thumb fingers are touchscreen compatible. A unique fabric structure with a shorter pinky finger provides a snug fit and enhances comfort. A very low carbon footprint compared to the manufacturing of other fibers such as nylon, polyester, and cotton. TDM cut resistance level C. The nitrile micro-foam coating offers 360-degree breathability. A reinforcement between the thumb and index finger adds greater durability.

RECYCLING CURIOSITY PORTWEST

As an additional curiosity about PORTWEST's environmental awareness, recycled polyester (rPET) is used in the SG glove models, which in this case comes from a recycled half-liter water bottle from the sea.

Another important point to appreciate the environmental advantages is to know the resources needed to obtain 1Kg of PET and those needed for 1Kg of (rPET). Besides oil and Ethylene Glycol (toxic to humans), a striking fact is that to make 1Kg of PET, ¡¡¡2,000 liters of water!!! are used! In the case of PORTWEST gloves with rPET, 322 liters of water are used.

You also save 227g of CO2 per pair of gloves during production.
