The depressed center grinding disc 3M™ Cubitron™ II is made of PSG grain 3M with which you obtain a fast-cutting and long-lasting hard disk. Our grinding discs are specially formulated for use on stainless steel, hardened steel and aerospace alloys. The PSG grain 3M it takes the form of triangular tips that, unlike traditional abrasives, cut metal cleanly instead of biting or gouging it. These points continually self-sharpen as they fracture, providing extremely fast cutting. This relieves heat buildup due to friction, reducing heat-related discoloration and stress cracks. The sunken center allows for roughing from any angle without risk of damaging the surrounding surface. Our grinding wheels are designed with rigid resin, are 7 mm thick and are useful for removing internal angle welds. They must be used with a protector adjusted to the size of the wheel. Discs must have a maximum operating speed equal to or greater than the maximum speed of the power tool used.
