Radioactive Material safety adhesive sign COFAN

Adhesive marking of hazardous materials which warns about the existence of "Radioactive Material" with a pictogram alluding to the message. The AD material poster consists of the pictogram at the top on a white background. The design of the sign may vary, but in no case will its meaning be varied.

This safety signage has the "content" and "quantity" sections to fill in according to the degree or type of risk

The sign can be installed indoors or outdoors and is available in two sizes: 100 x 100 mm and 300 x 300 mm. It is common to find this type of signals in nuclear medicine, places where diagnosis and treatment of diseases are carried out, inspection of materials, energy generation in research, in agriculture

Among the most common technical characteristics of COFAN signals are:

Signs are manufactured on a sheet of self-adhesive gloss white monomeric calendered vinyl

The color coating is applied to it using silk-screen techniques.

The adhesive is protected against the elements by a transparent gloss calendered laminate.

SELF-ADHESIVE MONOMERIC VINYL SUPPORT

Monomeric calendered cast digital printable vinyl sheet (80µ) glossy white self-adhesive.

Removable water-based acrylic adhesive, which allows the application to be fixed and removed under very light pressure with the fingers, to later be lifted and repositioned if necessary (a characteristic is lost when excessive pressure is exerted).

COLOR LAYER INKS

Color layer (according to the needs of the sign) using screen printing inks cured by means of UV radiation for multipurpose use on various plastics.

These are inks with a glossy finish, whose mixture of compounds and radiated curing method give them excellent elasticity and reactivity, not only in overprinting but also in folding and die-cutting.

Mixture of oligomers, monomers, photoinitiators and pigments.

The ink contains the following dangerous elements:

• Hexamethylene diacrylate

• Isobornyl acrylate

• Oxybis(methyl-2,1-ethanediyl) diacrylate

• 1-vinylhexahydro-2H-azepin-2-one

To correctly post a mandatory sign indicating that gloves are required, it is important to ensure that it is clearly visible to people entering the work area. It is recommended to place the sign at eye level and in a place where it cannot be obstructed by other objects or signs.

TheFIXATIONThe signaling element must be placed on a firm surface free of dirt.

The signal can be secured byMECHANICAL ELEMENTS(screws, rivets, etc...) orADHESIVES(assembly adhesive, glues, silicones...) carefully, avoiding soiling the visible surface or deforming it.

MAINTENANCE AND RECOMMENDATIONS

In order to preserve the functionality for which the signaling systems have been designed, SEKURECO recommends keeping the signals free of dust, dirt or any debris or object that prevents their visibility and identification.

For cleaning, it is advisable to preferably use soapy solutions, avoiding the use of solvents or abrasive products that could damage the surface of the sign.

The working temperature should not be higher than 45º C. Higher temperatures can deform the support material.
