Adhesive sign of hazardous materials "Radioactive" COFAN

Adhesive signalling of dangerous goods which warns of the existence of "Radioactive 7" pictogram alluding to the message. The AD material poster consists of the pictogram at the top on a yellow background. At the bottom it has the number 7 indicating the danger class. The design of the signal may vary, but in no case will the meaning of the signal change.

This safety sign shall have the sections 'content' and 'quantity' to be filled in according to the degree or type of risk.

The sign can be installed indoors or outdoors and is available in two sizes: 100 x 100 mm and 300 x 300 mm . It's common to find these kinds of signals in nuclear medicine, sites where we diagnose and treat diseases, inspection of materials, power generation in research, in agriculture.

In the nuclear industry radioactive material is used in the production of electrical energy and in the manufacture of nuclear weapons. Among the most common technical characteristics of prohibition signs with UV COFAN inks are:

• Form: it's usually a circle with a pictogram and text.
• Size: this may vary depending on the size and location of the work area.
• Colours: security signals use specific colors to communicate their message. The red color is used for prohibition signs and warning about dangerous behavior.
• The material: safety signs may be made of different materials, such as plastic, aluminium or vinyl sticker. The material used will depend on the location and environment in which the signal will be placed. For example, if the signal is placed in an area where there is a lot of dust or moisture, it is advisable to use a material resistant to these conditions.

The signs are manufactured on a self-adhesive white gloss calendered monomeric vinyl sheet.

Color coating is applied using serigraphic techniques.

The adhesive is protected against inclement weather by a glossy transparent calendered laminate.

• TRANSPARENT LAMINATE GLOSSY FINISH of 0,8 mm. Transparent film of CALANDRED PVC with MONOMERIC PLASTIFICANT, free of cadmium, with UV filter.
• COLOUR COATING EPOXIDE RESINS of black, green, red, blue, yellow, orange depending on the signal type.
• SELF-ADHESIVE VINYL 0,08 mm made of white PVC resin. Back side of the adhesive.

Fused digital printable vinyl sheet calendered monomeric (80μ) white self-adhesive gloss.

Removable water-based acrylic adhesive, which allows the application to be fixed and removed under very light pressure with the fingers, and then lifted and repositioned if necessary.

These are brightly finished inks, whose mixture of compounds and radiated curing method give them excellent elasticity and reactivity, not only in overprinting but also in bending and die-cutting.

To properly place an obligation sign indicating that gloves are compulsory, it is important to ensure that it is clearly visible to people entering the work area. It is recommended to place the signal at eye level and in a place where it cannot be obstructed by other objects or signals.

MAINTENANCE AND RECOMMENDATIONS

In order to preserve the functionality for which the signalling systems have been designed, SEKURECO recommends that signals be kept free from dust, dirt or any residue or object that prevents their visibility and identification.

For cleaning it is advisable to use soapy solutions preferably, avoiding the use of solvents or abrasive products that may damage the surface of the signal.

The working temperature shall not exceed 45 °C. Higher temperatures may deform the support material.
