NORMATIA

The products are classified by their filter efficiency and their full maximum performance against internal leakage (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3), as well as by their usefulness and resistance to obstruction. Performance tests of this standard include penetration through the filter; practical behavior test; flammability; breathing resistance and total leakage to the inside. Reusable products are also subject to cleaning and storage tests, and mandatory obstruction resistance testing (the latter are optional in non-reusable products). You can purchase a full copy of the EN 149:2001+A1:2009 standard through your country's normalization agency.

COLOCATION ISTRUCTIONS

Choose the most suitable size of the two available. The normal size is suggested for most users. The small size (S) is indicated for those with a smaller face. See figure 1. Before adjusting the mask, make sure you have clean hands. All the components of the mask should be inspected to check that they are not damaged.

1. Using both hands place your fingers on the top panel with your thumbs inside the mask and slightly double the center of the nasal clip up.

2. Open the mask by pulling the upper and lower panels until shaped. Elastic bands must remain at the top.

3. Take the mask in one hand with the inner side toward the face, place it covering the chin and with the nasal clip up.

4. Pass one band below the ears leaving it in the back of the neck and the other on the crown. The elastics should not be twisted. Adjust the upper and lower panels until they are comfortable, without the flat edges on the face and covering from the chin to the nose. You can use the side tabs (marked as "A") for a better fit.

5. Using both hands mould the nasal clip to the shape of the nose and cheekbones to ensure a good sealing. Doing it with one hand can result in a less effective adjustment and pose a risk.

6. An adjustment check must be made of the mask every time it is placed and before entering the contaminated area.
