REGULATIONS
- EN12477:2001+A1:2005 Type A: This standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for gloves intended for welding and related techniques. In particular, it focuses on protection against thermal and electrical hazards, ensuring that the gloves provide adequate resistance to heat, sparks, and molten metal splashes. Its aim is to ensure the safety of the welder in work environments where these hazards are present.
- EN 388:2016: The EN 388 standard refers to gloves that protect against mechanical hazards. This version includes tests to assess resistance to abrasion, cutting, tearing, and puncturing. Each of these tests provides a performance level that helps classify the glove's effectiveness against mechanical injuries, which is critical to ensuring user safety in various work activities.
- EN 407:2004: The EN 407 standard establishes requirements for gloves that offer protection against thermal hazards. It evaluates aspects such as resistance to heat, fire, and contact with hot objects, as well as protection against sparks and splashes. The results of these tests allow gloves to be classified according to their level of thermal protection, which is essential in environments where hot materials are handled or processes that generate high temperatures are carried out.
- EN 420:2003+A1:2009: The EN 420 standard establishes general requirements for protective gloves, covering aspects such as design, comfort, and fit. It also addresses chemical substances that may cause adverse reactions, ensuring that the materials used are not harmful to the user's health. This standard is fundamental to ensuring that all protective gloves meet basic safety standards before being used in different work applications.
