OPTIME II earmuffs with electric headband HIVIZ 3M PELTOR. The 3M Peltor Optime II earmuffs have been developed for demanding environments with high noise levels, while also attenuating low frequencies to a maximum degree. The cushions are filled with an exceptional combination of liquid and foam. The result is an optimal fit and low contact pressure, which provides pleasant comfort even during prolonged use. The cushions have ventilation channels covered with a soft hygienic layer. The 3M Peltor Optime II earmuffs are a suitable option for typical environments with high industrial noise and for construction machinery, airports, and agriculture.

REGULATIONS

EN 352-3 tested by CE

All hearing protectors sold in Europe, in order to protect the user from harmful noise, must have CE approval. This is generally done by testing the product against the relevant parts of the harmonized European standard family, EN 352.

Following a periodic review, the revised EN 352 standard family was published in 2020. For more information on this update, please refer to the technical bulletin from 3M “Regulatory Updates - EN 352:2020.”

When certifying hearing protectors according to the harmonized European standard (whether passive or electronic), they must meet the requirements of one of the following three standards as applicable to a given device.

• EN 352-1 Hearing protectors - General requirements - Part 1: Earmuffs

• EN 352-2 Hearing protectors - General requirements - Part 2: Earplugs

• EN 352-3 Hearing protectors - General requirements - Part 3: Earmuffs attached to head protection devices and/or face protection.
