Description

Woven fabrics containing predominantly, but < 85% polyester staple fibres by weight 3M. What. The polishing cap is used to produce a finer finish than wool caps. Our polishing berets are compatible with the compounds 3MTM Finesse-it, which are specially designed to achieve satin, semi-gloss or very glossy finishes in wood veneers, automobiles, boats and aerospace vehicles.

The natural polished beret 3MTM Finesse-itTM is made from select lamb leather and wool, with the wool cut to 20 mm in length to offer a more aggressive cut than longer fibre berets. Our polishing berets feature natural leather that holds each fiber individually, minimizing the chance of them loosening fluff.

  • Foam caps are available in various abrasion levels determined by their softness and the size of the cells in their holes: the larger the hole, the more aggressive the cap will be.
  • Our foam polishing berets are compatible with our compounds and with orbital and rotorbital polishers.
  • The products 3M Finesse-it are compounds and polishes specially designed for use in OEM original equipment paints and oven-dried coating paints.
