EN 50365 (Electrically insulating helmets): This standard applies to helmets used for work in low voltage installations or near live parts not exceeding 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC. Unlike standard helmets, these must be fully insulating and lack conductive parts (such as unprotected ventilation holes), preventing dangerous electrical current from passing through the worker's head in case of accidental contact.

ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Type I (Industrial head protection): This is the American standard that classifies helmets according to the type of impact protection. The Type I certifies that the helmet is specifically designed to reduce the force of an impact resulting from a blow exclusively to the top of the head. It is the reference standard for safety compliance in American markets and sectors that follow high-demand international regulations.

EN 166 (Personal eye protection): This is the fundamental technical standard that covers all requirements for eye protection against various hazards, such as mechanical impacts, chemical splashes, dust, or radiation. GS-ET-29 (Protection against arc flash): This is a complementary and rigorous certification for face shields that guarantees safety against the thermal effects of a short circuit arc. The standard evaluates the visor's ability to protect the worker's face and eyes from severe burns, molten metal projections, and the intense radiant energy produced during an electrical failure in high-power systems.

ASTM F2178/F2178M-20 (Eye and face protection against arc flash): This American standard determines the Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of eye or face protectors. Unlike other standards, this specifically measures how much thermal energy (heat) the equipment can withstand before the user suffers a second-degree burn, allowing classification of the equipment according to the level of electrical risk (PPE Category 1 to 4) of the work environment.
