MANUAL GENERAL KIT

IRUDEK's equipment and parts for the prevention of falls from high heights meet and sometimes exceed European and American requirements as well as other international standards. A user instruction manual in several languages is included with this product. It is important to read and understand the instructions before using the product. Activities that require the use of this equipment often involve high risk. Therefore, it should only be used by people with the appropriate training or by individuals who have received the relevant training (always under the supervision of a person with the appropriate training).
It is the user's responsibility to understand the correct use of the product, to use it only for the purpose for which it has been designed, and to carry out all necessary safety procedures. It is mandatory to carry out a risk assessment before using the equipment and to have an emergency action plan in place for work carried out at high altitudes. The manufacturer or supplier is not responsible for any damage, injury or death caused by improper use of the equipment. It is important to always make sure that all parts are compatible with the safety systems with which they are used and that they do not impede their proper operation. Material used in manufacturing: aluminium or stainless steel side plates; stainless steel shafts and bronze sintered bearings (see IRUDEK data sheets for more information).
These user instructions do not refer to the standard type IRUDEK extra strong fixed side pulleys (see the other instruction manual for more information on this).

MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION

It is important to perform visual checks of the product immediately before, during, and after use to ensure that it is in perfect condition and working properly. In addition to these routine examinations, it is recommended that the equipment be checked every six months by suitably qualified personnel. Visually inspect the pulley plates, wheels, and axles for potential damage or failure, check that the engraving is legible, and ensure that moving parts are working properly. High temperatures, chemicals, rust, cuts, and abrasions can all adversely affect equipment characteristics.
If there are doubts as to its safety or whether it has been used to arrest a fall, the equipment must be discontinued with immediate effect, until a suitably qualified person confirms in writing that its use does not involve any risk. Only the manufacturer or authorized repair agent may repair the equipment or make appropriate replacements of parts. The useful life of a pulley varies depending on its use, care and maintenance, and sometimes exceeds 10 years. Please note that if the pulley is used in harsh environments (e.g., dusty, sandy, or muddy locations), the pulley needs to be inspected more frequently and its service life may be reduced.
