The safety glasses 3M SecureFit series 400 consists of lenses with an open frame and wide, flexible temples that provide solid lateral protection and are well accepted when used in combination with protective earmuffs.

The series 3M SF400 and SF400X are an expansion of the successful SecureFit protective eyewear range. All models in the SF400 and SF400X series feature air-frame lenses, fixed-length temples, and integrated side shields for added protection. The temples incorporate 3MTM Pressure Diffusion Temple (PDT) technology, which helps distribute pressure over the temples to enhance comfort for users with different head sizes. This innovative design offers greater comfort and security in fit. The adjustable nose pads and the soft inner part of the temples improve the comfort and fit of the glasses. The SF400 series includes a selection of models with magnifying lenses for better reading or easier precision work.

The SF400X series features a brow bar that provides additional protection.

The anti-fog coating (SGAF) 3MTM ScotchgardTM has been incorporated into some lenses of the SF400 and SF400X series to provide EN166 anti-fog (N) and anti-scratch (K) protection.

INTENDED USE

These products are designed to protect against high-speed, low-energy particles (F) in extreme temperature conditions, ranging from -5 °C to +55 °C (T), in accordance with the EN166:2001 standard. They also protect against UV radiation according to the EN170:2002 standard (clear and amber lenses) and solar glare according to the EN172:1994 standard (gray, I/O, and blue mirror lenses). There are several types of lenses available to meet various needs:

Colorless: good color recognition and excellent protection against UV rays.

The European certification service ECS GmbH, located at Huettfeldstrasse 50, 73430 Aalen, Germany, and with notified body number 1883, has examined these products in the design phase.

These products have been tested and have obtained the CE marking according to the standard EN166:2001.
