ABOUT ANTI-IMPACT CAPS
In a large number of work environments, professionals are required to use different protective equipment for their heads, an element that can be essential when working on construction sites and other areas where there is a risk of some type of object or element falling on the worker's head, in addition to protecting them to reduce the risk in case of impact if a fall occurs from a different height.
There are different options for head protection on the market, such as construction helmets or anti-impact caps, such as the anti-impact/scratch cap BC01 - EN 812 - A1.
The anti-impact/scratch cap BC01 - EN 812 - A1, available in our store, does not protect against the effects of a fall or the throwing of objects or suspended loads that are in motion, and therefore should not be used as substitutes for industrial safety helmets specified in the EN 397 or ANSI Z89 standards.
Anti-impact caps are designed to absorb the energy of an impact through partial destruction or deformation due to damage to the shell. To provide an adequate level of protection, these caps must fit or adjust perfectly to the user's head size, as otherwise, they may not offer the appropriate protection.
The anti-impact/scratch cap BC01 - EN 812 - A1, like the rest of the anti-impact caps, must always be worn with the visor facing forward, and should be positioned so that it rests on the top of the user's head and tilted slightly downwards so that the visor does not obstruct the worker's vision.
The lifespan of these anti-impact caps is affected by many factors, such as cold, heat, chemicals, or misuse. The impact protective cap should be examined daily, before each use, to check for visible signs of fragility, damage, or cracking.
The manufacturing date is usually found on the shell of the cap and under normal conditions, it should have a lifespan of five years from its first use.
The shell of the anti-impact cap should be cleaned/disinfected using a mild detergent solution and allowed to air dry, without using strong or aggressive chemicals.
