REGULATORY

These products comply with the requirements of the recently amended European Standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009 for filter facial respirators for use against particulate matter. They should be used to protect the user from non-volatile solid and liquid particles only. The products are classified according to filtration efficiency and maximum total inward leakage performance (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3), also by ease of use and resistance to obstruction. Performance tests in this standard include filter penetration; prolonged exposure (load) test; flammability; breathability and total leakage inward. Reusable products are also subject to mandatory cleaning, storage and clog resistance tests (clogging is optional for non-reusable products).
