TECHNICAL DATA

Mixing ratio of epoxy adhesive 3MTM Scotch-WeldTM DP100 Plus is 1:1 to achieve fast and precise dispensing; its mixing life of between 3 and 5 minutes allows repositioning of materials and maintaining the production pace of projects. The adhesive attains part binding in about 20 minutes and fully cures in 48 hours at 22 °C. What are epoxy adhesives? Epoxy adhesives, including 5-minute epoxy, belong to the family of so-called 'structural adhesives', which includes acrylics, polyurethane or cyanoacrylate. Epoxies are formulated as liquid reactive polymers that undergo a chemical reaction when mixed and then cured to form a solid plastic material. Once the two components are mixed in the specified ratio, the curing process begins; they offer a limited mixing life in which the adhesive can be applied and the two surfaces placed as needed.
