W9910 of 473 ml 3M. What. The W9910 is designed to improve the initial grip of the Windscreen Tape 3M.  Improves tape adhesion Works on a wide variety of surfaces
Description

The epoxy adhesive 3MTM Scotch-Weld 2216 is a bicomponent flexible epoxy adhesive that cures at room temperature. It provides high shear and peel resistance joints while remaining very flexible; this makes it the ideal alternative for applications where vibrations and thermal expansion and contraction are common. It also withstands very low temperatures without becoming overly brittle.

Easy to apply, flexible performance Our epoxy adhesive 3MTM Scotch-Weld 2216 is designed for applications where high performance and flexible joints are needed. Due to its flexibility, it is ideal for applications involving surfaces of different nature and where different coefficients of thermal expansion have to be taken into account, for example when joining glass to metals. Once cured, epoxy retains an extremely strong bond under conditions of expansion, contraction and limited movement while maintaining good strength over time and after environmental wear.

With a mixing ratio of 2:3, it is a low viscosity epoxy. Its fluidity allows for precise dispensing. Both the base and the accelerator are coded in different colors which ensures you know which half of the product is being used. Recommended uses

We designed the epoxy adhesive 3MTM Scotch-Weld 2216 to make it perform at extremely low temperatures. By withstanding temperatures down to -252 °C, it is ideal for cryogenic bonding applications. At room temperature it offers a mixing life of 90 minutes allowing repositioning and adjustment. It will cure slowly for more than 7 days, but this curing time can be reduced by applying heat, to up to 30 minutes at 93 °C. It has shear strength capable of withstanding up to 22,1 MPa at 24 °C. Structurally solid Epoxy adhesives belong to the family of so-called 'structural adhesives', which also includes acrylics, polyurethanes and cyanoacrylates. For the purposes of this Regulation, the following definitions shall apply:

Supply: 5 to 10 working days

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Very flexible joints and resistant to extreme bending, impact and vibration, making it ideal for filling and transport applications.
  • It maintains strong joints under conditions of expansion, contraction, and limited movement while resisting environmental wear well.
  • Excellent for cryogenic bonding applications or for bonding substrates that will be exposed to extreme cold.
  • Its average viscosity helps minimize flow, drip or migration and at the same time allows self-leveling.
  • Versatile binding agent that will adhere to a wide range of substrates of similar or different nature, including metals and masonry materials.
  • Heat can be used to reduce curing times from 7 days to a minimum of 30 minutes

APPLICATIONS

It provides high shear and peel resistance joints while remaining very flexible; this makes it the ideal alternative for applications where vibrations and thermal expansion and contraction are common. It also withstands very low temperatures without becoming overly brittle.

  • Cryogenic bonding applications where bonding agents could experience extreme temperatures.
  • Filler in which expansion and thermal changes may occur, such as in solar panels and appliances or construction applications.
  • Applications in the military field, e.g. joining parts in mobile transport.
  • Unions in means of transport or in the general aerospace sector, where vibrations and movements are commonplace.
  • Union of most plastics.
  • Union of ceramics, plastics and glass to metal.
  • Binding of various substrates to masonry and stone materials
