FITTING TIPS AND GUIDELINES
Sizing standards vary among different manufacturers, so we recommend ordering the size that normally fits you best. Shoes from Shoes For Crews aim to maintain consistent sizing across all different styles, and their sizes generally conform to European sizing standards. All available sizes are shown in the Select Size dropdown menu on our website. If you are between sizes, we recommend ordering a half size larger.
- The best time to measure and fit shoes is when your feet are at their largest, usually at the end of the afternoon or evening.
- Always try on your new shoes with the same socks you will typically wear with this type of shoe.
- If you use your own insoles or orthotics inside your shoes, consider the additional volume when fitting new shoes. If your new shoes have a removable insole, remember to take it out and replace it with your own insole or orthotic. Insoles or orthotics affect how a shoe fits.
- Select the shoe style that best fits the shape of your foot.
- Make sure the widest part of your foot (the circumference around the ball) fits comfortably in the widest part of the shoe. Shoes should be as wide as your feet and a thumb (1/2 inch) longer than your longest toe when standing.
- Move your toes to ensure you have enough space for them.
- Do not select a shoe that is too small to avoid heel slippage. Your shoe should fit comfortably over the top of your foot, even if it is new.
- Boots provide more support and are more durable, but they can be heavier and less flexible at the top of the shoe.
- Try your new shoes at home or on a clean surface for a few minutes before deciding on their fit and comfort.
- Remember that the size of your feet changes as you age, usually getting larger.
- Do not buy shoes that are too tight and expect them to stretch to fit. They won't.
- Shoes with thick soles cushion your feet better on hard surfaces.
- A lace-up or Velcro® closure shoe generally fits better than a slip-on or heeled model.
- Low-heeled shoes are more comfortable and secure than high-heeled ones.
OUTSOLE FEATURES
TRIPGUARD – TO HELP REDUCE FALLS A thick sole at the front of the shoe can pose a tripping hazard. That’s why we developed TripGuard: Thanks to the slight curvature and narrow profile of the sole, the user can easily move between slippery surfaces, carpets, and hallways.
SPILLGUARD – SPLASH PROTECTION If you handle liquids in the workplace, your feet need to be protected from splashes. That’s why we’ve incorporated a membrane in many designs to keep the front of the foot dry and protected.
LIGHTWEIGHT – AS LIGHT AS A FEATHER ON YOUR FEET Our footwear is especially lightweight thanks to the foam composite material we use. This technology makes each step 100 grams lighter. If we calculate an 8-hour shift, this means a huge relief for the legs and joints.
EASY CLEAN – EASY TO CLEAN Ease of cleaning is one of the key features of our footwear designs: The materials and fabrics we use help provide the footwear with an excellent and well-kept appearance, with minimal maintenance.
SFC OUTSOLE

Here, the reliable SFC outsole provides safety with every step. As the tests below demonstrate, its excellent slip resistance far exceeds industry standards. This effectively helps prevent workplace accidents caused by slips or falls.
