The Scotch-Brite Bristle Disc is composed of ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles that provide greater surface contact than metal brushes and maintain their abrasive properties throughout the life of the disc. Our Bristle discs remove paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, corrosion, heavy oxides and surface contaminants from large areas.

The Scotch-Brite™ Bristle Disc is designed to last longer than metal or other abrasive discs. Our Bristle discs work well on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel and other metals. With normal use, the flexible bristles remain firmly in position to achieve the desired finish with light pressure. These discs do not contain wire filaments, which is an improvement in safety. These discs 3M™ include a blend of ceramic aluminum oxide, a mineral engineered through a process to improve grain strength and hardness, delivering next-level performance.

The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is designed to fracture frequently, outperforming aluminum oxide abrasives in both cutting power and durability. Ceramic abrasives are designed to cut fast and withstand applications with intense levels of heat and stress, making them perfect for moderate to intensive material removal tasks as well as finishing applications. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products that incorporate abrasives in a nonwoven fiber matrix. The combination of abrasives and nonwoven material creates an abrasive system that offers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open mesh material generates less heat and is resistant to clogging, preserving the high cutting performance of abrasive minerals by reducing fiber clogging.
