STANDARDS
- EN420: is a European standard that establishes general requirements for protective gloves, focusing on ergonomics, comfort, and resistance to risk factors. This standard ensures that gloves are appropriate for their intended use, evaluating aspects such as fit, breathability, and abrasion resistance. Additionally, EN420 covers safety criteria related to chemical and biological contact, ensuring that gloves provide adequate protection without compromising user comfort.
- EN388: is a specific standard that evaluates the mechanical resistance of gloves against risks such as abrasion, cutting, tearing, and puncture. This standard uses standardized tests to classify gloves according to their performance in each of these areas, providing a rating that helps users select the appropriate equipment for their needs. The results are presented through pictograms and numbers that indicate the level of protection, allowing workers to choose gloves that meet safety requirements in their work environment.
- EN407: is a standard that evaluates the thermal resistance of protective gloves against heat and fire. This standard establishes criteria for measuring a glove's ability to withstand different types of heat, such as contact heat, radiant heat, or splashes of molten metal. Gloves are evaluated through specific tests that determine their performance in extreme thermal situations. The results are presented in the form of pictograms and numbers, helping users select suitable gloves for tasks where exposure to heat is a significant risk.
