The Scotch-Brite surface conditioning disc Roloc AL combines our durable non-woven disc with the efficiency of the Roloc quick-change fastening system 3M Roloc for an efficient disc that cleans, finishes, mixes and disassembles. Our nonwoven fiber construction fits well to help preserve irregular or contoured soft metal surfaces and the Roloc accessory supports the disc for optimal cutting.

The Scotch-BriteTM RolocTM AL surface conditioning disc, specifically, helps achieve paint-able, slip-free finishes in fewer steps without changing the workpiece geometry. The aluminum oxide mineral is interspersed in the disc's open network. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals given its durability and sharp cut.

In addition, aluminum oxide is known to be friable, which means that it fragments under heat and pressure to renew itself. The friability keeps the mineral cut sharp. While all discs use aluminum oxide, we offer the Scotch-BriteTM RolocTM AL surface conditioning disc in three grades: very fine (VFN), medium (MED) and coarse (CRS). In this way, operators can choose a grade that suits their substrate and desired finish. We included a quick-change accessory 3M TM RolocTM on this disc so that operators could easily switch between discs when there are several degrees in a sequence. It also allows for quick coupling of power tools, which helps improve productivity and performance. To place the disc, operators simply need to connect it to a RolocTM backup pad (sold separately). Subsequently, the backing pad is connected to the power tool. Fixing options include TS, TSM and TR, some metal and some plastic. Operators should choose the appropriate accessory for their tools.

Scotch-BriteTM products incorporate minerals into nonwoven nylon fibres. The innovative fiber coating technology allows Scotch-BriteTM abrasive products to cut faster and produce a more consistent scratch. The open band material is load-resistant and maintains high-performance abrasive mineral cutting by limiting clogging of nylon fibers. As the nylon fibers gradually break down during crushing, they expose fresh minerals, so you get that constant sharp cut, piece by piece.

CHARACTERISTICS

STORAGE CONDITIONS
