INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

See Figure 1.

Before adjusting the device, make sure your hands are clean. Before each use, all components of the mask should be inspected for damage.

1. With the back up and using the eyelashes, separate the top and bottom panels.

Pull the lashes from the chin and nose panels until the nasal clip folds so that the mask takes the shape of a cup. Make sure both panels are fully deployed.

3. Without letting go of the eyelashes, hold the mask with the side open towards the face and place it over the face.

fourth. VALVE MASK: with one hand, hold the sides of the valve to maintain the position of the mask over the face. 4b. MASK WITHOUT VALVE: Hold the mask with one hand with the side open towards the face.

5. With the other hand, take each of the strips and fit them on your head.

6. Place the top strip on the crown of the head and the bottom strip on the back of the neck and under the ears. The strips must not be twisted. Adjust the top and bottom panels, using the eyelids, until you are comfortable. Make sure the panels are unfolded and the eyelids are folded.

Mould the nose clip into the shape of the nose with both hands to ensure precise fit and proper sealing. If you press the nose clip with one hand, the effectiveness of the mask may be reduced.

8. Before entering the workplace, check that the face mask is properly sealed.

APPLICATIONS

Use the respirator for hand sanding 3M Aura 9312+ as respiratory protection in hand sanding tasks. Our respirator helps provide FFP1 protection against low levels of oil- or water-based dust and fog that pose no risks.

The FFP1 (Class 1 filter face piece) protects against low levels of non-hazardous dust and oil or water based fogs, which are commonly produced during manual sanding tasks and basic DIY activities

The user must be trained in the correct use of the equipment and read and understand the instructions for use. Misuse can lead to serious or potentially fatal injury or illness

REGULATORY

The products are classified according to their filtration efficiency and their maximum overall performance against inward leakage (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3), as well as their utility and resistance to clogging. The performance tests of this standard include penetration through the filter, practical behaviour test, flammability test, breathability test and total leakage test.

Reusable products are also subject to cleaning and storage tests, and mandatory clog resistance tests (the latter are optional for non-reusable products). You can obtain a complete copy of EN 149:2001+A1:2009 from your national standardisation body.
