STORAGE, CLEANING AND PRESERVATION
The working temperature should not exceed 45o C. Higher temperatures can deform the supporting material.
The optimal storage temperature will be between 15o C and 25o C; and with a humidity of 10/50%.
Cleaning methods: avoid using abrasive products.It is recommended to clean with water and neutral detergents.
The technical building code – Basic fire safety document requires that photoluminiscent signaling must comply with UNE 23035.
In order to maintain the functionality for which the signage systems were designed, SEKURECO recommends keeping signs free of dust, dirt, or any debris or objects that could impair their visibility and identification.
For its cleaning, it is advisable to use soap solutions preferably, avoiding the use of solvents or abrasive products that may deteriorate the surface of the signal.
Photoluminescent signals should be placed in such a way that they receive the energy of a natural or artificial light source to ensure their proper functioning.
According to the RD 513/2017 (TABLA III), the luminiscent signaling systems must be subject to an annual inspection/revision that will be carried out by specialized manufacturer staff, a maintenance company, or by the user or owner of the installation.
After the period of life of the signals that make up the signaling system has passed, the inspection of these elements will be carried out following the indications collected in the RD 513/2017 and the UNE 23035-2

The recommended INSTALATION ALTURA ranges between 2 and 2.50 meters, always maintaining a separation distance of 0.30 meters from the ceiling.
Photoluminescent signs must be located so that they receive energy from a natural or artificial light source to ensure proper operation.
The FIXING of the signaling element must be carried out on a firm surface free of dirt.
The signal can be secured by means of MECHANICAL ELEMENTS (tornillery, rivets, etc...) or ADHESIVOS (assembly adhesive, queues, silicones...) in a careful way, avoiding to dirty the surface view or the deformation of it.
The signaling of EVACUATION should be installed in such a way that from any point susceptible to occupation of the enclosure an evacuation can be initiated, so it is recommended to install directional signals on all those routes, intersections, stairs, etc. that serve as a route.
The signage on DOORS will be placed above the lintel with the appropriate label (“EXIT”, “EMERGENCY EXIT”, NO EXIT”, …).
The signaling of fire protection, rescue and/or relief measures will be made on the same elements to signal whenever possible.
