The 44 composite film electrical tape from 3M™ is a low-halogen electrical tape, edge-tear resistant, suitable for general-purpose insulation, as well as for anchoring and bands in motors and transformers. The tape is suitable for 600 V applications and withstands a temperature range of 0 to 130 °C (32 to 266 °F). The 44 composite film electrical tape from 3M™ features a combination of mesh and polyester film coated with a pressure-sensitive thermoset rubber adhesive.
This tape is highly resistant to heat, oxidation, solvents, and oils. This tape with high dielectric strength is robust, puncture-resistant, and offers excellent electrical properties. It is ideal for coils/transformers wound on rods, as well as for protecting starter cables, conductors, terminal blocks, insulating paper, and end turns.
