RESTRICTIONS ON USE

The equipment must be attributed individually to one person.

- It is recommended that the anchorage point where the anti-fall system will be fixed be above the user. The anchorage point shall have a minimum static resistance of 10 kN and shall comply with the requirements of EN 795.

- Personal protective equipment must not be worn by persons whose state of health may affect the safety of the wearer under normal conditions of use or in an emergency.

- Personal protective equipment should only be used by a person trained and competent in its safe use.

ATTENTION

- The use of manual locking connectors is only advisable when the user does not have to open and close the connector several times during the working day. - Avoid loading the connector over its closure.

- The length of the connector should be taken into account when used with an anti-fall system, as it will influence the length of the fall. - The broadband connection can reduce the resistance of the connector.

- A fall harness is the only acceptable body restraint that can be used in a fall harness.

- The fall protection system must be connected only to the harness connection points bearing an identification with the capital letter 'A'. The identification 'A/2' indicates that two connection points with the same identification need to be connected simultaneously. It is prohibited to connect the protective system to a single connection point which is identified as 'A/2'.

- The connection to the anchorage point and to other equipment must be made via muskets according to EN 362. - For use with EN 353-1, EN 353-2, it is recommended to connect the equipment to the front anchorage of the harness. For use with EN 355 energy absorbers or EN 360 anti-roll, it is recommended to connect the equipment to the harness dorsal anchorage point.

- Before each use of personal protective equipment, it should be checked carefully to ensure that it is in working order and functioning properly.

- During the pre-use inspection, all items of equipment must be carefully checked for signs of deterioration, excessive wear, corrosion, abrasion, degradation by UV radiation, cuts and incorrect use. Pay particular attention to the connector body, closure and closure operation.

LIFETIME

The estimated service life of the connector is unlimited. The following factors may reduce the shelf life of the product: heavy use, contact with chemicals, particularly harsh environments, exposure to extreme temperatures, exposure to ultraviolet rays, abrasion, cuts, heavy impacts, or poor use and maintenance.

The mandatory annual review shall validate the correct operation of the equipment. The equipment must be examined by the manufacturer or an authorised person at least once a year. If a fall has been stopped, the equipment must be withdrawn from use.
