APPLICATIONS

The HAULER BINER can be used in various ways:

• As part of an assisted system
• Anchored to a fixed structure obtaining a mechanical advantage MA 6: 1 (theoretical)
• Anchored to a harness (moving element) obtaining a mechanical advantage MA 7: 1 (theoretical)
• With a Descender D4 / D2, as part of a load transfer system
• As a tensioning element in progression and/or safety systems
• As a handling device for the stretcher, using two or more HaulerBiners to easily change or adjust the position of the stretcher (STEF).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Care and maintenance: To clean the Haulerbiner, use a damp cloth or lukewarm water. Allow to dry naturally. Lubricate the trigger mechanism; apply lubricant to the torsion spring and the pusher as indicated in figure A. Lubricate the lever by moving it so that the ball bearing sinks. Apply a small amount of lubricant and let it penetrate. Remove the excess. Ensure that the oil does not come into contact with the line.

The Haulerbiner kit should not be disassembled. To clean it, remove the tubular mesh tape and wash it separately. Pull the line to contract the assembly to its minimum size and wash the end of the line in lukewarm water; refer to the rope manufacturer's instructions for more information. Allow to dry naturally. Once dry, reattach the tubular mesh tape, ensuring that the mechanical advantage label on the sleeve is at the end of the Haulerbiner that has the lever. The correct configuration of the kit can be consulted in figure E.

KIT INSPECTION

Bring the lever to the ENGAGED position. Pull out both connectors and check that the lever stops the movement of the line. The lever must remain ENGAGED until it is manually DISENGAGED. Ensure that each of the 13 cones is present on the surface of the lever and is not worn. If the cones in the first row are worn more than 50%, the device must be taken out of service. The line must be thoroughly inspected by removing the tubular mesh tape and looking for cuts, fraying, abrasion, or contamination. There should also be two stop knots present at the end of the line, spaced approximately 80 mm apart. Reattach the tubular mesh tape after inspection.
