FFP2 NR D molded mask with valve for particles 3M to provide the user with light, comfortable, and effective protection against solid and/or non-volatile liquid particles.

Particle masks 3M Series 8000 provide effective respiratory protection to workers exposed to dust particles and/or non-volatile liquid particles while performing their work.

Use the respirator for manual sanding and power tools. 3M™ 8822 as comfortable protection for drilling, sawing, sanding manually or with electric tools. Designed to provide FFP2 protection, our respirator with valve protects against medium levels of fine dust and mists based on oil or water that are commonly produced when working with cement, wood, and steel. With a durable and deformation-resistant inner frame and a convex shape, the lightweight design with double straps includes a nasal clip and soft nasal foam that helps ensure a secure and comfortable fit across a wide variety of face sizes. The valve 3M™ Cool Flow™ reduces heat buildup inside the respirator by expelling exhaled air.

RULES

These devices meet the requirements of the European standard EN 149:2001+A1:2009 for self-filtering masks for particles. These masks provide the user with protection against solid and non-volatile liquid particles.

These devices are classified according to their filtration efficiency and total inward leakage (FFP1, FFP2, and FFP3), as well as by their mode of use and resistance to clogging.

This standard includes filter penetration tests; prolonged exposure (loading); flammability; breathing resistance; and total inward leakage. Reusable models must also undergo mandatory cleaning, storage, and clogging resistance tests (the clogging test is optional for non-reusable masks). You can purchase a complete copy of the standard EN 149:2001+A1:2009 through national standardization bodies (in Spain, AENOR).

APPROVALS

• These devices meet the requirements of the European Community Directive 89/686/EEC (Directive on Personal Protective Equipment) and therefore, they have the CE marking.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

The masks 3M™ Series 8000 have a shelf life of 5 years. The expiration date is marked on the product box. Before use, check that the product is within its usage period. The product should be stored in a clean and dry environment, within a temperature range of -20 to +25ºC and relative humidity < 80%. Use the original packaging for transportation.

DISCARDED FROM THE PRODUCT

Contaminated products must be disposed of as hazardous waste, according to national regulations.

ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Hold the mask with one hand with the nasal clip between your fingertips and the adjustment bands hanging down.

2. Place the mask below your chin, with the nasal clip facing up.

3. Place the upper band on the crown of your head and the lower band below your ears.

4. The bands should not be twisted.

5. Using both hands, shape the nasal clip to fit the contour of the bottom of the nose, ensuring it fits snugly. If you use only one hand, you may not achieve a proper fit.

6. The proper sealing of the mask should be checked before entering the workplace.

FIT TEST

1. Cover the front of the mask with both hands, being careful not to distort the placement of the mask.

2. (a) Mask WITHOUT VALVE - exhale forcefully; (b) Mask WITH VALVE - inhale forcefully.

3. If air is entering or escaping around the nose, readjust the nasal clip to eliminate the leak. Repeat the check.

4. If air enters or exits through the edges of the mask, readjust the straps to eliminate the leak. Repeat the check.

If you CANNOT obtain a proper adjustment, DO NOT enter the contaminated area. Contact your supervisor.

If national legislation requires it, users must undergo a compliance check.
