The 3MTM AuraTM particle masks meet the requirements of the European standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009 for self-filtering masks against particles. They provide effective respiratory protection in those sectors where Workers are exposed to solid particles or non-volatile liquid particles..

Respiratory protection is only effective if the appropriate mask is chosen and it is fitted and worn correctly for the entire time the user is exposed to the hazards.

ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Adjustment instructions Refer to the figure.

1. Before putting on the device, make sure to have clean hands. Before each use, all components of the mask should be inspected to ensure they are not damaged. 1. With the back facing up and using the tabs, separate the upper and lower panels.

2. Pull the tabs of the chin and nose panels until the nasal clip bends in such a way that the mask takes on the shape of a cup. Make sure both panels are fully unfolded.

3. Without releasing the tabs, hold the mask with the open side facing your face and place it on your face.

4a. Mask WITH VALVE: with one hand, hold the sides of the valve to keep the mask in position on the face. 4b. Mask WITHOUT VALVE: hold the mask with one hand with the open side facing the face.

5. With the other hand, take each of the strips and adjust them on your head.

6. Place the upper strap on the crown of your head and the lower strap at the nape of your neck and below your ears. The straps should not be twisted. Adjust the upper and lower panels using the tabs until you feel comfortable. Make sure the panels are unfolded and that the tabs are folded.

7. Shape the nasal clip with both hands to fit the shape of the nose to ensure a precise fit and proper sealing. If you press the nasal clip with one hand, the effectiveness of the mask may be reduced.

8. Before accessing the workplace, you must check that the mask is properly sealed to your face.

APPLICATIONS

Protects against low concentrations of dust and common mists in a wide variety of industrial applications and other situations where FFP3 protection is required.

STANDARDS/ REGULATIONS

Products are classified by their filtration efficiency and their maximum total performance against inward leakage (FFP1, FFP2, and FFP3), as well as by their utility and resistance to clogging.

Among the performance tests of this standard are the penetration test through the filter; practical behavior test; flammability test; breathing resistance test; and total inward leakage test.

Reusable products are also subjected to cleaning and storage tests, as well as mandatory obstruction resistance tests (the latter are optional for non-reusable products). You can purchase a complete copy of the EN 149:2001+A1:2009 standard through your country's standardization body.
