STANDARDS

These products meet the requirements of the European standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009, self-filtering masks for particles.

These masks offer protection against solid and non-volatile liquid particles.

These products are classified according to their filtration efficiency and inward leakage value (FFP1, FFP2, and FFP3), also according to their usage time and saturation resistance. The tests included in this standard include filter penetration, tests after storage, flammability, breathing resistance, and inward leakage. Reusable masks must also reflect care instructions and mandatory tests of behavior after storage and saturation (the saturation test is optional for disposable masks). You can purchase a copy of the EN 149:2001 +A1:2009 standard through AENOR.

APPROVALS

These products meet the requirements of the European Directive 89/686/EEC, Personal Protective Equipment Directive (in Spain, R.D. 1407/1992) and therefore have CE marking.

Respiratory protection is only effective if selected, fitted, and used correctly and when worn for the entire duration of exposure to contaminants.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

The 3M™ Aura™ 9300+ particle masks have a shelf life of 5 years. The expiration date is marked on the packaging. Before starting to use them, check that the product is within its shelf life. The product should be stored in a clean and dry place, at a temperature range of – 20°C to + 25°C at a relative humidity <80%. Use the original packaging to store and transport the product.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF THE PRODUCT

Contaminated products must be disposed of according to local legislation for hazardous waste.

PLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Before putting on the mask, ensure that your hands are clean.

It is important to note that the mask should be replaced when it becomes wet or dirty, or after continuous use of 8 hours. Additionally, it is recommended not to use the mask for more than one day and not to share it with others.

1. With the back of the mask facing up and using the tab of the lower panel, unfold the mask by separating the top and bottom edges, opening them until a cup shape is obtained. Slightly bend the center of the nasal clip.

2. Ensure that both edges are fully unfolded

3. Hold the mask with one hand with the open edges facing the face. Grab both adjustment bands with the other hand. Place the mask under the chin, with the nasal clip facing up, and pull the adjustment bands over the head.

4. Place the upper adjustment band on the crown and the lower one on the neck, below the ears. The bands should not be twisted. Adjust the top and bottom edges for comfort, ensuring they are not folded

5. Using both hands, mold the nasal clip around the nose (bottom) to ensure a good fit and seal. Molding the clip with one hand may result in a less effective fit.

6. Check the fit before entering the contaminated area.

FIT CHECK

1. Cover the front of the mask with both hands, taking care not to distort the fit of the mask.

2. (a) MASKS WITHOUT VALVE - EXHALE forcefully;

(b) MASKS WITH VALVE - INHALE forcefully.

3. If leaks are noticed around the nose, readjust the nasal clip to eliminate the leak. Repeat the fit check.

4. If leaks are noticed around the edges, reposition the adjustment bands on both sides of the head to eliminate the leak. Repeat the fit check.

If you CANNOT achieve a proper fit, DO NOT enter the contaminated area. Contact your supervisor.

Fit tests are mandatory in some countries.
