• EN 360

The EN 360 standard regulates retractable fall arrest devices, equipment designed to stop falls from height using an automatic locking mechanism similar to that of a seatbelt. Its main function is to allow worker mobility while keeping the cable or strap always taut, stopping the fall immediately within a few centimeters and ensuring that the impact force received by the body does not exceed 6 kN to prevent serious injuries.

USAGE LIMITATIONS

The equipment must be assigned individually to a person.

-Personal protective equipment should not be used by individuals whose health status may affect the safety of the user under normal use conditions or in case of emergency.

-Personal protective equipment should only be used by a trained and competent person in its safe use.

SERVICE LIFE

The estimated service life of the equipment is 11 years from the date of manufacture (1 year of storage and 10 years of use).

The following factors may reduce the product's service life: intensive use, contact with chemicals, particularly aggressive environments, exposure to extreme temperatures, exposure to ultraviolet rays, abrasion, cuts, strong impacts, or improper use and maintenance.

The mandatory annual inspection will validate the correct functioning of the equipment.

It is mandatory for the equipment to be examined by the manufacturer or by an authorized person at least once a year. In case of a fall arrest, the equipment must be removed from use.
