The series 3M SF400 and SF400X are an extension of the successful SecureFit protective eyewear range. All models in the SF400 and SF400X series feature lenses with an open frame, fixed-length temples, and integrated side shields for added protection. The temples are equipped with 3MTM Pressure Diffusion Temple (PDT) technology, which helps distribute pressure over the temples to enhance frame comfort for users of different sizes.

This innovative design offers greater comfort and security in the fit. The adjustable nose pads and the soft inner part of the temples enhance the comfort and fit of the glasses. The SF400 series includes a selection of models with magnifying lenses for better reading or for performing precision tasks more easily.

The SF400X series features a brow bar that provides additional protection. The anti-fog coating (SGAF) 3MTM ScotchgardTM has been incorporated into some lenses of the SF400 and SF400X series to provide EN166 anti-fog (N) and scratch-resistant (K) protection.

It has been demonstrated that these series of protective glasses meet the basic safety and health requirements outlined in Annex II of Regulation 2016/45 of the EU and, therefore, bear the CE marking. The European certification service ECS GmbH, located at Huettfeldstrasse 50, 73430 Aalen, Germany, with notified body number 1883, has examined these products in the design phase. These products have been tested and have obtained the CE marking according to the standard EN166:2001.

AREAS OF USE AND APPLICATION

These products are designed to protect against high-speed, low-energy particles (F) in extreme temperature conditions, ranging from -5 °C to +55 °C (T), in accordance with the EN166:2001 standard. They also provide protection against UV radiation according to the EN170:2002 standard (clear and amber lenses) and against solar glare according to the EN172:1994 standard (gray, I/O, and blue mirror lenses).
