APPLICATIONS AND INTENDED USE

These products are designed to provide protection against various hazards, including low energy impact (F) when used as glasses with side shields or medium energy impact (B) when used as a mask with a headband and a seal. These products also offer protection in extreme temperatures ranging from -5 °C to +55 °C (T) in accordance with EN 166:2001.

When used as goggles with a retaining strap and a TPE seal, these assembly options also provide protection against drops or splashes of liquids (3) and large dust particles (4), which comply with EN 166:2001.

These products also help protect against UV rays, according to standard EN 170:2002 (colorless and amber lenses), and against glare, according to standard EN 172:1994 (gray lens for indoor/outdoor use).

The 3MTM SolusTM 1000 lenses have been designed to provide a higher level of protection against scratches and fogging thanks to the 3MTM ScotchgardTM coating, which meets the requirements of the "K" marking for scratch resistance (AS) and "N" marking for anti-fog treatment (AF), according to the EN166:2001 standard.
