EN 14058: Protection against Cold Environments

This standard certifies garments that protect the body in environments where the combination of humidity and wind is felt, but the temperature is not below −5∘ C.

EN ISO 13688:2013 A1:2021 (General Requirements)

This is the "base" standard. It does not protect by itself but establishes the minimum requirements that any protective garment must meet before applying a specific standard.

Safety: Materials must not release toxic or allergic substances (such as chromium or nickel) upon contact with the skin.

Ergonomics: The garment must be comfortable, lightweight, and allow movement without the risk of snagging.

Aging: Resistance to washing cycles, ensuring that the garment does not shrink or lose color excessively.

Labeling: Requires the inclusion of a protection pictogram, the size according to body measurements (cm), and maintenance instructions.

EN ISO 20471:2013 + A1:2016 (High Visibility)

This specific standard regulates clothing designed to visually signal the user's presence in high-risk situations (heavy traffic, moving machinery, etc.).

It is based on the combination of two types of materials and divides garments into three classes according to the minimum visible surface:

Fluorescent Material (Day): Provides visibility in daylight and twilight conditions.

Retroreflective Material (Night): Strips that reflect light from headlights back to the driver.
