The Cleaning Bands (10-pack) - Cleantech 200 by Telwin, code 981866, is an accessory or replacement item that can be purchased for the Cleantech 200 Cleaning Kit, code 850020. Each of these fibreglass bands has been specially developed to restore shine to stainless steel after TIG welding or MIG welding.
In some cases, during the welding process of stainless steels, an opaque layer tends to form on the surface that changes the base colour of the steel. This occurs due to the high levels of heat required to melt the metal in the desired area. As a consequence, the area adjacent to the weld tends to discolour and leave an undesirable appearance in the worked area.
The cleaning band adheres to the surface where the weld has been made and, after application of the cleaning reagents, is removed to leave the area with exceptional finishes.
