Our Adflo mask connects directly to any Speedglas respiratory welding helmet and can protect users against particles and gases depending on the filter used. Gas filters are sold separately (837242 or 837542). It includes an adjustable breathing tube with QRS (Quick Release Swivel) for easy one-handed connection and disconnection. A flow meter, pre-filter, spark arrestor, particle filter, high-capacity lithium-ion battery, belt, and charger are also provided. An odor filter (837110) is available separately for work environments with unpleasant odors. The standard battery fully charges in about 5.5 hours, depending on residual capacity, and the system has an expected run time of 10 to 13 hours when used with a new particle filter, a fully charged new battery, and standard flow. The airflow can be easily adjusted to meet the user's needs. The airflow is always at a constant nominal rate of 170 liters per minute, regardless of battery load or filter particle load. For warmer and more humid work environments, the flow can be increased to 200 liters per minute for optimal user comfort. The lithium-ion battery makes the turbo unit nearly 20% lighter and provides better balance and increased comfort for the user throughout a shift. The heavy-duty battery is recommended when using the mask with a gas filter; in some configurations, a breathing tube with a silencer (834009) is also required. Always check approved combinations with your safety engineer or consult a certified industrial hygienist for advice.

DESCRIPTION

The motorized team 3M Adflo, when used in combination with approved headgear units, is a breathing system designed to enhance safety and comfort in welding processes and other related techniques.

The team 3M Adflo is equipped with a particle filter, spark guard, pre-filter, and an indicator that shows the clogging status of the particle filter. Additionally, a range of filters for gases and vapors is available (optional).

The odor filter 3M Adflo (optional) reduces unpleasant odors.

The motorized team 3M Adflo incorporates an automatic flow control that ensures a constant airflow during use. An electronic control unit provides audible and visual alarms for low flow and low battery.

There is a high-altitude version of the motorized. 3M Adflo with an integrated automatic compensation to adjust to changes in air density.

The range of 3M Adflo includes a standard battery and a long-lasting battery (optional).

The airflow creates a positive pressure that, along with the facial seal, prevents the entry of contaminants into the breathing zone.

The Adflo unit has a battery indicator with three bars. When all the bars are lit, the battery is at maximum capacity. Additionally, the Adflo unit also has a 5-stage particulate filter indicator.

APPLICATIONS

The Adflo powered air supply unit is designed to provide filtered air from the blower through the breathing tube to the head unit. The equipment can be used in environments where TH2 and TH3 P R SL, TH2 A1B1E1 P, or TH2 A2 P respiratory protection equipment is required. The type of equipment needed is defined by the concentration and type of contaminants present in the air.

The complete system protects against particles and, when a gas filter is used, against contamination from certain gases and vapors.

These products meet the requirements of the European Community Directive CEE (Directive on Personal Protective Equipment) and therefore have the CE mark. The product complies with the harmonized standard EN12941 (Respiratory protective equipment. Powered filtering devices integrated into a helmet or hood). The certification under Article 10, CE type examination, and Article 11, CE quality control, has been issued by INSPEC International. Ltd (Notified body number 0194 for systems incorporating this product). This product complies with the provisions of the European Directive 2004/108/EC (EMC – Electromagnetic Compatibility) and the European standards EN 61000-6-3 (EMC – Residential Emission) and EN 61000-6-2 (EMC – Industrial Immunity).
