NORMATIVE

- The EN 166 standard is a European standard that establishes the minimum safety requirements and the tests that eye protectors must pass to ensure the protection of workers' eyes in different work environments. This standard covers aspects such as mechanical resistance, protection against impacts from high-speed particles, resistance to ultraviolet radiation, protection against splashes of liquids and chemicals, among others.

AREA AND LIMIT OF USE

The two face shield replacements do not have specific uses. They are also designed to withstand an impact similar to that of a ball weighing 8.86 grams at a speed equivalent to 45m/s (symbol ‘F’). The shields do not have specific filtering actions.

REFERENCE OF VERIFIED SPECIFICATIONS

This certificate has been issued in accordance with the essential health and safety requirements described in Annex II of Directive 89/686/EEC applicable to PPE of that category and to the specifications of the European standard EN 1731 ‘Eye and face protection, for industrial or non-industrial use, for protection against mechanical and/or heat risks’. The results are recorded in the examination report I’INRS 95YE 11611.
