WHAT IS A TELESCOPIC FOREST BEATER?

A forest beater is a tool used to combat forest fires, particularly in their initial stages. It consists of a rubber paddle attached to a long handle, usually made of aluminium, which is used to strike and smother flames, depriving them of oxygen. It can also be used to move vegetation and create firebreaks.

HOW TO USE THE BEATER?

The beater is employed through a technique of direct attack on flames, whose objective is to smother the fire by eliminating the oxygen that feeds it. For correct use, it must be struck firmly at the base of the flames, pressing the paddle against the fire site for approximately 2 seconds. It is then withdrawn in the direction of the already burnt area and the movement is repeated in a rhythmic and controlled manner, progressively covering the fire line.

Its formulation based on ammonium polyphosphates allows it to act directly on vegetable fuel, reducing its flammability and slowing fire propagation. When applied to vegetation or surfaces susceptible to combustion, the product generates a retarding barrier that hinders the advance of flames, facilitating containment and suppression work.

The MAK5 retardant is presented in liquid concentrate format, which allows mixing with water before application. Depending on fire conditions or preventive use, the product can be diluted in approximate proportions of 1:4 to 1:6 with water, maintaining high effectiveness in reducing combustion.
