USAGE LIMITATIONS

The equipment must be assigned individually to a person.

- It is recommended that the anchor point where the fall protection system will be fixed is above the user. The anchor point must have a minimum static strength of 10 kN and must comply with the requirements of Standard EN 795.

- Personal protective equipment should not be used by individuals whose health status may affect the safety of the user under normal use conditions or in case of emergency.

- Personal protective equipment should only be used by a trained and competent person in its safe use.

WARNING

- The use of manually locking connectors is only advisable when the user does not have to open and close the connector multiple times during the workday. - Avoid loading the connector on its closure.

- The length of the connector should be considered when used with a fall protection system, as it will influence the length of the fall. - Connection to wide bands may reduce the strength of the connector.

- A fall arrest harness is the only acceptable body restraint device that can be used in a fall protection system.

- The fall protection system must be connected only to the connection points of the harness that carry an identification marked with a capital "A". The identification "A/2" indicates that it is necessary to connect two connection points with the same identification at the same time. It is prohibited to connect the protection system to a single connection point identified with "A/2".

- Connection to the anchor point and other equipment must be made using carabiners in accordance with EN 362. - For use with fall protection EN 353-1, EN 353-2, it is recommended to connect the equipment to the front anchor point of the harness. For use with energy absorbers EN 355 or with fall protection EN 360, it is recommended to connect the equipment to the dorsal anchor point of the harness.

- Before each use of the personal protective equipment, it must be carefully inspected to ensure that it is in usable condition and functioning correctly.

- During the pre-use check, it is necessary to carefully inspect all elements of the equipment to verify that they do not show signs of deterioration, excessive wear, corrosion, abrasions, UV radiation degradation, cuts, and misuse. Pay special attention to the body of the connector, closure, and operation of the closure.

SERVICE LIFE

The estimated service life of the connector is unlimited. The following factors may reduce the product's service life: intensive use, contact with chemicals, particularly aggressive environments, exposure to extreme temperatures, exposure to ultraviolet rays, abrasion, cuts, strong impacts, or improper use and maintenance.

The mandatory annual inspection will validate the correct functioning of the equipment. It is mandatory for the equipment to be examined by the manufacturer or by an authorized person at least once a year. In the event of a fall, the equipment must be removed from use.
