APPLICATIONS
The use of the anchoring element with a fall protection subsystem must be compatible with the usage instructions of each component of the system and with the Standards: EN 358, EN 354, EN 362.Indicated for work at height, frequently used in work environments such as:
- Civil works
- Construction industry
- Climbers
- General industry
STANDARDS
EN 358 - Personal protective equipment for securing in a working position and preventing falls from height. Belts and anchoring equipment for work positioning or restraint.EN 362 - Personal protective equipment against falls from height. Connectors.
EN 354 - Personal protective equipment against falls. Anchoring equipment.
LIMITATIONS OF USE
- The equipment must be assigned individually to a person. - It is recommended that the anchorage point where the fall protection system will be fixed is above the user. The anchorage point must have a minimum static strength of 12 kN and must comply with the requirements of Standard EN 795.WARNING
- A fall protection harness is the only acceptable body restraint device that can be used in a fall protection system. - The fall protection system must be connected only to the connection points of the harness that carry an identification with the uppercase letter “A”. The identification “A/2” indicates that it is necessary to connect two connection points with the same identification at the same time. It is prohibited to connect the protection system to a single connection point identified with “A/2”. - In harnesses with an integrated belt, the connection to equipment for work positioning must be made only to the lateral anchoring rings of the belt. - The connection to the anchorage point and to other equipment must be made through carabiners in accordance with EN 362:2004. - For use with fall protection EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017, EN 353-2:2002 it is recommended to connect the equipment to the frontal anchorage point of the harness. For use with energy absorbers EN 355 or with fall protection EN 360 it is recommended to connect the equipment to the dorsal anchorage point of the harness. - Before each use of the personal protective equipment, it must be carefully inspected to ensure that it is in usable condition and functions correctly. - During the pre-use check, it is necessary to carefully inspect all elements of the equipment to verify that they do not show signs of deterioration, excessive wear, corrosion, abrasions, UV radiation degradation, cuts, and misuse. Pay special attention to the straps, seams, anchoring rings, buckles, and adjustment elements.SERVICE LIFE
The estimated service life of the equipment is 11 years from the date of manufacture (1 year of storage and 10 years of use). The following factors may reduce the service life of the product: intensive use, contact with chemicals, particularly aggressive environments, exposure to extreme temperatures, exposure to ultraviolet rays, abrasion, cuts, strong impacts, or improper use and maintenance. The mandatory annual inspection will validate the correct functioning of the equipment. It is mandatory for the equipment to be examined by the manufacturer or by an authorized person at least once a year. In case of a fall arrest, the equipment must be removed from use.MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
- CLEANING: The personal protective equipment must be cleaned in a way that does not cause adverse effects on the materials used in the manufacture of the equipment. For textile and plastic materials (straps, ropes), clean with a cotton cloth or a brush. Do not use any abrasive materials. For deep cleaning, wash the equipment at a temperature between 30ºC and 60ºC using a neutral detergent. For metal parts, use a damp cloth. If the equipment gets wet, either from use or due to cleaning, it should be allowed to dry naturally, away from direct heat.
- STORAGE: The personal protective equipment should be stored in loose packaging, in a dry, ventilated place, protected from sunlight, ultraviolet rays, dust, sharp-edged objects, extreme temperatures, and aggressive substances.
