APPLICATIONS

Carabiner designed to complete a fall protection system. It is used as a component to directly attach to a specific type of anchor. For example, as an anchor for ropes, harnesses, etc.

To reduce the possibility of it opening involuntarily, with the associated danger, hooks, like carabiners, must have an automatic closure and an automatic or manual lock, requiring the user to perform at least two consecutive manual actions voluntarily to disengage. However, it should be noted that when using hooks with manual locking, they should only be used in cases where the worker does not need to connect and disconnect the hook repeatedly during the workday.

PPE FOR WORK AT HEIGHT

The Scaffolding Hook Ø 50mm galvanized steel (ref. AZ022) is an element made of galvanized steel and has an opening of 50 mm. Its dimensions are 220 x 120 mm and it weighs 500 grams, in addition to complying with the EN 362 standard. It is suitable for use on scaffolding tubes and allows for one-handed operation for greater convenience for the professional.

The function of scaffolding hooks is to allow the connection of different elements that make up the worker's protection system, ensuring that they are properly protected against the possibility of falling from different heights, which could lead to an accident with potentially fatal consequences for the user.

Hooks are connectors that feature automatic closure and automatic or manual locking, serving to join or connect a fall protection device and/or an anchor point. It should be noted that connectors must not have rough or sharp edges that could wear down, cut, or damage ropes or injure the worker.

Inspections: the equipment must be inspected every 12 months by an authorized person or by the manufacturer. Inspections must be recorded in the inspection sheet attached to the PPE along with the instruction manual.
