Fire-resistant balaclava for firefighters Firefighter Particulate Hood BUFF. This fire-resistant balaclava has been designed to provide complete protection for firefighters, both from fire and especially from the various toxic and carcinogenic particles they are routinely exposed to through the skin.
Therefore, it incorporates in those areas of the neck and head that are most exposed to these contaminating agents, a trilaminate fabric composed of two layers made of a blend of Nomex®, FR Viscose, and Elastane, plus an intermediate layer made with DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex non-woven textile film, which acts as a barrier against these harmful micro and nano particles.
Additionally, unlike other fire-resistant and anti-particle balaclavas on the market, it incorporates Cooling HeiQ Smart Temp technology. This allows for increased comfort for the firefighter in extreme situations, helping them to automatically regulate their body temperature and thus reducing the risks associated with exposure to high temperatures, such as fatigue, dehydration, heat strokes, or even thermal stress.

FIRE RESISTANT: Fireproof fabric tested and certified to provide protection against heat and flames.
ANTISTATIC: Certified product that incorporates protective fabric with electrostatic properties to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charges that can lead to spark generation. A spark can cause a fire or explosion under certain circumstances.
PARTICLE BARRIER: Thanks to its trilaminate fabric and specifically the DuPont Nomex Nano Flex technology incorporated in its intermediate layer, this product allows blocking the passage of harmful microparticles, preventing them from coming into contact with the firefighter's skin.
RESPIRATORY MASK COMPATIBLE: The balaclava has been externally tested and certified as compatible with various ERA facial masks: - Maintains its shape and fit after the 50th use, compared to the first. - There is no gap between the balaclava and the respiratory equipment at the beginning or end. - There are no breaks in the seams.
HEIQ SMART TEMP COOLING TECHNOLOGY: This is a revolutionary textile technology that provides fabrics with the ability to interact with body temperature and respond dynamically to body heat. The cooling function is activated when the worker is hot and sweaty and is deactivated once cooling is complete. It helps ensure optimal comfort and performance. It is specifically designed for textiles that come into direct contact with the skin, providing a new level of thermal comfort.
MOISTURE MANAGEMENT: Fabric structure that allows sweat and vapor to be transferred away from the body through the fabric itself. Provides comfort and helps maintain stable body temperature.
HELMET COMPATIBLE: Can be worn under a safety helmet.
COMFORT FIT FACE OPENING: Elastic opening of the balaclava that offers a comfortable fit in different usage positions.

BENEFITS
NOMEX® is a meta-aramid fiber invented and manufactured by DuPontTM. Nomex® has fire-resistant properties, is resistant to high temperatures, and does not melt, drip, or burn in the air. This high level of protection is designed into the molecular structure of the fiber, it is not chemical, which means that NOMEX®'s resistance to heat and fire is inherent and permanent and will last throughout the garment's lifespan. In addition to withstanding extreme temperatures, thanks to its advanced thermal technology, garments made with NOMEX® offer good comfort and durability.
