USAGE INSTRUCTIONS - ADJUSTING THE FALL ARREST HARNESS
Before starting. Empty your pockets, as during work or, more importantly, in the event of a fall, objects in your pockets can get caught between the harness straps and the user's body causing injury. Always refer to the usage instructions provided with the specific harness regarding proper installation and adjustment.
Step 1. Start. Hold the harness by the dorsal D-ring, which is often secured through a D-pad and ensure that the straps are not twisted.
Step 2. Shoulder straps. Slide the harness over your arms and place it on your shoulders. Ensure that no strap is tangled and that they hang freely.
Step 3. Leg straps. Place it between your legs and secure the leg strap on your left side. Raise the strap between your legs and connect it with the buckle on the left side. Connect the right leg strap using the same procedure.
Step 4. Pectoral straps. Attach the pectoral strap buckle to the corresponding opposite side buckle.
Step 5. Waist strap (if equipped). Attach the waist strap buckle to the corresponding opposite side buckle.
Step 6. Adjust the harness to fit snugly. Adjust the shoulder straps until they are tight with the adjusters. The left and right sides of the shoulder straps should be adjusted to the same length, and the pectoral strap should be centered at the bottom of the chest, about 15 cm below the shoulder. The pectoral D-ring of the vest-style harness moves up or down by adjusting the shoulder and leg straps. Center the dorsal D-ring between the shoulder blades. Note: In applicable models, the dorsal D-ring can be raised or lowered on the harness strap as needed for a proper fit. Readjust the leg straps to be tight. They should extend at least 8 cm beyond the buckle on the leg straps. Adjust the waist strap (if equipped).
You are all set! A properly fitted and adjusted full-body harness will effectively distribute impact forces across the body and provide the proper support during suspension and rescue after a fall.
