FILTER SELECTION
FILTER DURABILITY
The filters used in industrial environments have a lifespan that depends on factors such as humidity, concentration of contaminants in the environment, temperature, usage time… and should be replaced when resistance to breathing is felt or when an odor or taste of the contaminant being exposed to is perceived. Given the variety of work environments, each with its own characteristics, we cannot precisely indicate the durability of the filters.
Generally, the lifespan of the filters is 5 years from manufacturing, but it is recommended not to use them beyond 6 months from their first use unless one of the reasons for their replacement mentioned in the previous paragraph has been met. (The lifespan of an unopened chemical filter is usually indicated on its label. Once the filter is unsealed, even if not used, it has a maximum duration of 6 months, regardless of the expiration date indicated).
