STANDARDS/REGULATIONS
Complies with the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Regulation/Directive
- EN 361 (Fall protection harnesses): is the standard that certifies full-body harnesses designed to hold the worker during and after a fall. Unlike a simple belt, this equipment distributes the impact forces across the thighs, pelvis, chest, and shoulders, keeping the body in a vertical and safe position to avoid "suspension trauma" while awaiting rescue. You will identify these connection points as they are marked with the letter "A".
- EN 358: regulates belts and anchoring elements for positioning and retention. Unlike a fall protection system, this regulation is designed for the worker to perform their tasks with their hands free, maintaining a stable and safe position on poles, towers, or structures, or to limit their movements and prevent them from reaching a fall risk area.

APPLICATIONS

USAGE LIMITATIONS
The equipment must be assigned individually to a person.
- It is recommended that the anchor point where the fall protection system will be fixed is above the user. The anchor point must have a minimum static resistance of 12 kN (metal) or 18 kN (textile) and must comply with the requirements of Standard EN 795:1996 / EN 795:2012.
- Personal protective equipment should not be used by individuals whose health status may affect the safety of the user under normal use conditions or in case of emergency.
- Personal protective equipment should only be used by a trained and competent person in its safe use.
WARNING
- A fall protection harness is the only acceptable body restraint device that can be used in a fall protection system.
- The fall protection system must only be connected to the connection points of the harness that carry an identification marked with a capital letter "A". The identification "A/2" indicates that it is necessary to connect two connection points with the same identification at the same time. It is prohibited to connect the protection system to a single connection point identified with "A/2".
- In harnesses with an integrated belt, the connection to the equipment for positioning work must be made only to the lateral anchor rings of the belt.
- The connection to the anchor point and to other equipment must be made through carabiners in accordance with EN362:2004.
- For use with fall protection EN 353-1:2014+A1:2017, EN 353-2:2002 it is recommended to connect the equipment to the frontal anchor point of the harness. For use with energy absorbers EN 355 or with fall protection EN 360, it is recommended to connect the equipment to the dorsal anchor point of the harness. - Before each use of the personal protective equipment, it must be carefully inspected to ensure that it is in usable condition and functioning correctly.
- During the pre-use check, it is necessary to carefully inspect all elements of the equipment to verify that they do not show signs of deterioration, excessive wear, corrosion, abrasions, UV radiation degradation, cuts, and incorrect use. Pay special attention to the straps, seams, anchor rings, buckles, and adjustment elements.
