The 3M™ 2000 series particle filters can be attached to any reusable half mask or full mask from 3M™ with a bayonet connection. They are versatile, small, lightweight, and have low breathing resistance.

FILTER DURABILITY

The filters used in industrial environments have a lifespan that depends on factors such as humidity, concentration of contaminants in the environment, temperature, usage time… and should be replaced when breathing resistance is noticed or when an odor or taste of the contaminant being exposed to is perceived. Given the many work environments, each with its own characteristics, we cannot precisely indicate the durability of the filters.

Generally, the lifespan of the filters is 5 years from manufacturing, but it is recommended not to use them beyond 6 months from their first use unless one of the reasons for their replacement indicated in the previous paragraph has been met. (The lifespan of an unopened chemical filter is usually indicated on its label. Once the filter is unwrapped, even if not used, it has a maximum duration of 6 months, regardless of the expiration date indicated).
